In 1995, Hartford, Connecticut-based Pratt & Whitney and the Wertheimer Group of Israel formed a joint venture operation, Blades Technology International, Inc. (BTII), to produce high-quality precision-forged compressor airfoils for the gas turbine industry.

U. S. based Precision Components International, Inc. (PCI), a subsidiary of BTII, occupies over 270,000 square feet in multiple facilities on their Columbus, Georgia campus, and employs more than 350 highly trained team members. It provides precision products to a diversified customer base in the aerospace, power generation, medical, golf and automotive industries.

The company has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and dedication to a teamwork approach, receiving the first Pratt & Whitney Supplier Gold Award. In addition, the company is ISO 9001 and AS 9100 certified. PCI’s vision is to be a recognized world-class provider of reliable products and services that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements.

PCI is a recognized world leader in manufacturing, design, and engineering technologies. We pride ourselves in having close working relationships with our customers and our time to market with new product development. Our technologies and manufacturing skills, many of which are unique to PCI, enable us to produce and ship approximately 1 million precision components annually.

PCI manufactures high-quality jet engine compressor blades and vanes made from stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and nickel-base super alloys. Independent in-house forging, machining, engineering, CAD/CAM, die-making, and metallurgical capabilities provide flexibility and swift response in meeting rapidly changing market requirements. We have leveraged these capabilities to diversify into the medical implant, golf, and automotive industries.

PCI is a supplier to major OEM’s throughout the world including, Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Rolls-Royce, Honeywell, Solar, Synthes Medical, Zimmer Medical and others.
